If you like reggae this album is not much reggae and if you like dub and electronics, the sounds are pretty dated (mostly echo and a few misplaced space sounds). Lots of filler with 1 or 2 cuts I might move to another CD.

Great compilation, 2cd CD is more House/DubStep than Dub per se, but very nice. I recommend this and the entire Frequent Flyer series

  3. FF Kingston, hits the spot! So much “world culture” inspired electronic music pays only lip service to international beats, relegating them to a half second sample on a 5 minute track. But the team at kinkysweet has assembled a splendid collection of sympathetic, deeply evocative grooves. These tracks capture the bass-heavy reggae/dub rhythms direct from kingston and layers them beneath smoother sounds giving this release a distinct laid-back, swish vibe that anyone can appreciate. 5 stars for frequent flyer, kingston. I highly recommend this one for your collection.

Oh Boy, I have a new favorite label, and it’s kinkysweet. This mix is lip smacking sweet. I’m only about half way through disc 2 and my pants are twitching. If you’re on the fence about checking this out, jump off and jump in. Unfortunately there are no samples available of this on this site but go to kinkysweet’s site to preview. Something tells me someone’s going to have fun fun fun.

P.S. The NYC Loft Party comp is really good too. Keep up the good work Kinkysweet.

The more I listen to this album the more I love it. You just can’t sit still listening to it. Not being a huge Reggae fan, I wasn’t exactly familiar with all the tracks (except for the Bob Marley remixes of course!), however these guys really know how to put this stuff together. Highly recommended! I have all the others in the Frequent Flyer series, and this one lives up to the high standards they set on earlier releases.
