www.takebackyourhealth.com Menopause occurs as the ovaries stop producing estrogen, causing the reproductive system to gradually shut down. Technically, menopause refers to the cessation of menstruation (ovulation), as a natural part of a woman's normal aging process. It is a time in a woman's life when physical and psychological changes occur. The average onset of menopause is 50.5 years of age. Hot flashes and night sweats can be symptoms of menopause and occur in approximately 70% of all menopausal women. Additional symptoms may include headaches, atrophic vaginitis, frequent urinary tract infections, forgetfulness, and cold hands and feet. Psychological symptoms are often attributed to the menopause, but it is not clear whether these symptoms are caused by the lack of estrogen or are a reaction to the physical symptoms and the sleep disturbances caused by the night sweats. The most common symptoms are poor memory, poor concentration, tearfulness, anxiety, and loss of interest in sex. http

UTI Natural Treatment – Treat Urinary Tract Infection Naturally
Thursday, December 17th, 2009It was many years before I discovered UTI natural treatment for my (very!) frequent urinary tract infections. Looking back now, I can see many wasted years where I took course after course of antibiotics which often gave me yeast infections and diarrhea.
I first began suffering from urinary tract infections in my late teens. I can still remember waking up thinking I was going to wet the bed, but when I went to the bathroom, there were just a few burning drops of urine. Oh, how it hurt! I went to the doctors in a state of confusion, I’d never had anything like this before. I was sent away with a course of antibiotics. Within 2 days, I felt fine.
Surgery for Feline Urinary Tract Infections
Friday, December 11th, 2009There are no surgeries for feline urinary tract infections. Usually antibiotics are prescribed and the infection goes away. If your cat is having frequent urinary tract infections there can be an irritation caused by tiny crystals which form and irritate the lining of the bladder or ureters. Surgery is sometimes required for this problem if the blockage can not be flushed out with a catheter. If the stones are too big surgery is needed to remove them.
Feline urinary tract infection may be the result of bacteria, fungus, parasitic, viral, urinary stones, obstructions, cancer, stress or even diet. Sometimes the infection can get better even if no treatment is given. However, if your cat looks like it is troubled do not wait for veterinarian treatment because infections can progress to the kidneys or a blockage can cause toxic buildup in the bladder, making the problem life threatening.
